Does anyone actually cut rabbets on their jointer? I almost never see it done so I said why not give it a shot!! It took a couple practice runs to dial it in and realize I actually had to twist my fence in just a little and then it was perfect! Even with the practice runs this was soo much faster than the table saw! I could do all 8 pieces in 1 pass each and was done in minutes with a nice smooth surface from this Rikon helical head! Really broke in my micro jig grip blocks as well and I’m honestly sad I haven’t gotten them sooner, Even for my table saw! Gravity hooks are the GOAT. So if you’ve never tried rabbets on your jointer maybe give it a shot!

Found a piece of firewood in the drying pile that I couldn’t bring myself to burn. Did some heavy work with the axes to get it to size for the lathe. Crotch wood of unknown origin into a vessel of undetermined use. Not finished yet still a little green more turning to come!

Using my Rikon Tools work station at the Hartville Hardware tool sale. It’s a great portable table, strong, stable. I use it to put my Robert Sorby Proedge on. I’ve also added some pictures of when I used it to assemble the stand for my new scroll saw. Check out the little tray that keeps track of all the parts during assembly. Overall, I’m impressed with it.

Compound cutting on the bandsaw it’s not as difficult as it looks. You can create some really great shapes. Taping the pieces back on keeps the block square and stable. Just take your time and don’t overthink it. A good blade is key. I’m using a 3/8” TPI blade (19-1102) from @rikon_powertools.

I call this one Bob Ross 🤩.
I wanted to add a bunch of color in this cheese board.
I used up the offcuts i had lying around from other projects and all the offcuts strips of the exotics.
Many of them were different thickness and thats where my @rikon_powertools thickness planer came in clutch. It leaves a finish that is equivalent of a 180 grit sand paper. Thanks @rikon_powertools for this amazing tool that has saved me a tonne of sanding.
Also, i love my Bremen parallel clamps from @harborfreight .
In this board i decided to go through my exotic scrap pile and used
